Sadly realized last night at 4:45am that I had to be up at 9:30 for the incredibly useful drug assessment, in which I forked over $100 to have a really nice lady spend an hour and fifteen minutes with me to determine that I am, indeed, not a drug addict. Enough of that silliness, though, in another effort to maybe get something done by Thursday (go go arbitrary deadline type dates), something I wrote a bit earlier. Can't tell if I like it a lot or if it's garbage, we'll see.
Lost Me Somewhere
Plastic and strippers
Acid and trippers
And everyone's losing their god damn mind
Dance on their pole
Filling a hole
What is it that everybody's trying to find
Did you lose me somewhere
Inside the nothingness
All these flashy cars and porno stars
Who are you trying to impress
Fake osculation
An endless rotation
With nothing to say but a want to be seen
Dots, they're so small
Can't connect them at all
Still everyones glued to their fucking screen
Did you lose me somewhere
Can't see through all the mess
Slightly out of luck, just don't give a fuck
Something I must confess
Grow up and old
Do just what you're told
Be everything they create you to be
The patterns are dancing
We're still not advancing
Is there somebody who sees what I see
Not sure of the time
Somewhere down the line
Now I'm scrambling to see
Just where you lost me

Random Fuckery
Trying to get something done for Thursday, the first was written on my phone when I was driving back to Utah and I imagine it to be kind of a faster tune, the second was from earlier tonight, quite a bit slower than the first. Pretty tired, but oh well, they might be alright.
False Romances with Girls Next Door
To live in a world so stubborn and stern
Self-destructing, continues to turn
Filled with people who won't seem to learn
That there's more
So much more
Than false romances with girls next door
But with dull lives they all seem to settle
And in your private affairs they will meddle
Seemingly happy but so discontent
No other reason they'd be so hellbent
On trying to ruin
These harmless things that I'm doing
Talk a walk, step outside
This roof and four walls just allow you to hide
And I don't understand how
I've only realized these problems now
I'm never going to make it
If every day I continue to fake it
When there's more
So much more
Than false romances
With girls next door
Sometimes
Sometimes I don't know what to do
When my mind seems to be stuck on you
Sometimes I don't know what to think
When you keep on pushing me to the brink
Oh sometimes
Get so blue
Out of rhymes
With nothing new
But child
I know that I've got you
Sometimes I don't know where to go
All these people that I don't really know
Sometimes I don't know what to say
Try to move but you're pushing me away
Sometimes
Get so blue
Out of rhymes
Nothing new
Oh baby
I thought that I had you
Sometimes I don't know what I own
Nothing matters when you're feeling so alone
Sometimes I don't know why I'm down
Then I look and see nobody's around
Sometimes I think I've lost my mind
Nothing ahead, forgotten what's behind
Sometimes I think I've got it right
Til I see that there is no end in sight
Oh sometimes I wonder if the pain
Is bottled up and driving me insane
Get so blue
Out of rhymes
Got nothing new
Baby sometimes
Wish I still had you
